Bullet-ridden wall around the sharpshooters' window: We've circled a pair of bullet marks. You should be able to pick out some of the many others.

INTRODUCTION

We would like to thank the owners, management and staff of the Farnsworth House for their generous cooperation in conducting this preliminary investigation on February 16 and 17, 2002.

Our investigation team consisted of myself (Cathe), my fiance' Richard Fulton (videographer) and Carolyn Hughes (paranormal investigator). We were assisted on-location by Farnsworth House Dinner Theatre staff Donna and Hope.

Our Investigative Findings:
The Farnsworth House has continued to be a source of stories relating to spirit activity for many years. This investigation concentrated on the attic, Sweney Room, dining room, foyer and cellar. Digital still, video, EVP and clairvoyance established that all of these areas investigated were spirit-active.

During our overnight investigation, a number of names were conveyed by some of the spirits who dwell within the Farnsworth House. Some of these names may already be known to a good many people; others of these names may not be known. Nevertheless, the spirits who identified themselves are as follows: Paul, Mary, Jeremy, Walter, "Burf," Joseph, Willie, Jonah, George, "Jackal," Benjamin, "Cap," AnnaRose, Colton, Patrick, and "Sure-Shot."

Although rumor has it that a few spirits here tend to be 'cantankerous' at given-times, we were treated with deep care, courtesy, and respect, such as we afforded each of the spirits reciprocally. Mary wishes to be known as the 'matriarch' of the household, somewhat of an 'overseer' in a sense. She can be seen for the most part, downstairs, more precisely, in the dining area and kitchen. However, she was in our room, the Sweney Room, for most of the night through to morning. Occasionally, she rang a little 'dinner-bell' which sounded a light, tinkling noise but was not disturbing to us in the least. All in all, we enjoyed an extremely pleasant visit!
